Our story

NPRacing has been part of the British Superbike paddock since 2004, built from the ground up as a privately run, Honda-mounted operation based in Taunton, Somerset. What started as a smaller presence in the championship grew steadily over more than a decade, and in 2020 the team took the step up into full-time competition in BSB's premier Superbike class — the top tier of British motorcycle road racing.

From workshop to paddock

The team is led by Neil Pearson, founder of NP Motorcycles. Neil built NP Motorcycles as a motorcycle servicing and workshop business, and over time grew it into one of the more recognised independent names in British Superbike racing. That workshop background still shows in how the team operates today: technically grounded, hands-on, and focused on getting the detail right on every bike that goes out on track.

A family-style team that competes with the big names

NPRacing doesn't have the budget of the championship's factory-backed squads — teams like Honda Racing UK, Ducati PBM, or McAMS Yamaha — but it has built a reputation as one of BSB's respected independent outfits. That reputation rests on a few consistent things: professionally prepared Honda Fireblades, a close-knit and experienced technical crew, and a genuine focus on developing riders rather than just fielding them. It's a family-style operation in the paddock, and it's earned the team a name for consistently punching above its weight against much larger, better-funded rivals.

2026 season: Brayden Elliott signs on

For the 2026 season — raced as the ZYN British Superbike Championship — NPRacing continued that tradition of developing talent. Brayden Elliott joined the team and returned to the BSB grid with NPRacing from the Knockhill round in June 2026, riding under race number 51 on the team's Honda machinery.
