NP Racing bags first points of the season at a tough Snetterton

Round 4 of the ZYN British Superbike Championship at Snetterton was a tough one, but the team came out of it with heads held high and looking forward to the rest of the season with the progress that's been made.

Friday was tricky, with a gearbox issue and a failed hose clip cutting into track time. An engine strip got the faults rectified, and by the end of the day eyes were set on Saturday.

Saturday started well, with more time coming off the clock each session and the bike settling in nicely. The team fought hard in Race 1 and came home in 15th — the first point of the season.

Overnight the crew found something in the setup, and Sunday morning warm-up saw the pace step on again. The sprint race started strong, with a battle to hold 13th place, before a fuelling issue forced a retirement on the final lap. Race 3 saw the team keep their heads despite a cracked exhaust, which ultimately forced another retirement.

Overall, a good weekend showing real potential. We can't get annoyed about things that are out of our control — on to Brands Hatch in a couple of weeks.
